History of Negro Revolt
$11.95
“This monograph, ‘A History of Negro Revolt’, was written by C L R James five years after his move to London from the Caribbean. James was a political activist, writer and dramatist campaigning for West Indian independence and pan-Africanism and had links to the labour party and the International African Service Bureau. The pamphlet was published every month as part of the ‘Fact’ series of ‘sixpenny monographs’. It is divided into six chapters: ‘San Domingo’, ‘The Old United States’, ‘The Civil War’, ‘Revolts in Africa’, ‘Marcus Garvey’ and ‘Negro Movements in Recent Years’.”
